What you need before you start
Have your logo file ready in a high-resolution PNG or JPEG format. The Zakeke tool works best with simple, clear designs that fit within the engraving area. Complex gradients or very small text may not reproduce well with laser engraving.
Decide if you want RGB lighting. The Light Up Your Logo - PL4800 Edition supports an optional RGB kit (sold separately). If you plan to add lighting later, choose a logo design that looks good both with and without illumination.
Design limitations to know
Once you place your custom logo order, Vertagear cannot make changes to it. Double-check your design, placement, and spelling before confirming. The laser engraving is permanent and high-quality, but it requires your final approval.
The Zakeke tool gives you a real-time preview, but the actual engraving may vary slightly in color and contrast depending on the chair material. Darker chair surfaces tend to show the engraving more clearly.
Step-by-step design process
- Open the Zakeke design tool: Go to the Vertagear product page for the PL4800 or other compatible chair. Click the 'Design Now' or 'Customize' button to launch the Zakeke interface. The tool loads a 3D model of your chair. If the tool doesn't load, check your browser's pop-up blocker or try a different browser like Chrome or Edge.
- Upload your logo: Click the upload icon and select your logo file. The tool will place it on the chair's backrest by default. You can drag to reposition it within the allowed engraving area. Common mistake: uploading a low-resolution image. Use a file at least 1000 pixels wide for a crisp engraving.
- Adjust size and rotation: Use the handles around your logo to resize it proportionally. Rotate if needed. Keep the logo fully inside the marked safe zone to avoid clipping. Checkpoint: Zoom in on the preview to ensure no edges are cut off. The safe zone outline is your guide.
- Preview with and without RGB lighting: If you plan to add the RGB kit later, toggle the lighting simulation in the tool. This shows how your logo will look illuminated. Adjust contrast or outline thickness if the logo becomes hard to read when lit. If the RGB kit is not yet purchased, note that it is sold separately. You can add it later without changing the engraving.
- Add to cart and confirm: Once satisfied, click 'Add to Cart'. Review the order summary carefully. The custom logo option is non-refundable and cannot be changed after submission. Final checkpoint: Verify spelling, orientation, and placement one last time. There are no do-overs.
